“I have been waiting a long time for a book just like this one: Dark Matter Monsters. That’s because sociologist Simeon Hein Ph.D. has finally developed a solid, plausible and scientifically well-argued solution to one of the most confounding mysteries of our time: The true nature of Bigfoot — but also a host of other paranormal mysteries, from UFOs and ghosts to orbs and encounters with parallel universes.”—Ken Korczak, full review at Medium.com

“This book is dedicated to Claire from the UK, who encountered unknown creatures near Carmel Highlands and the Sea Otter Reserve, CA in 1989 and was told to keep quiet by responding law enforcement officers. And to all the other witnesses to these mysterious creatures and phenomena.
Warning: Bigfoot and other cryptids can behave unpredictably and create unknown or damaging biophysical effects on people and pets. These effects can include battery and camera failure, memory lapses, confusion, and time loss. While bigfoot, in particular, have been known to be helpful to people and children, even rescuing them from dangerous situations, the opposite outcome can also happen leading to long-term mental anxiety, PTSD, serious injury, or death. Please keep your distance from these creatures, if possible, unless you’re in the presence of an experienced guide or professional researcher.
When I was a young child, my mom read me the book Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak, a fictional children’s story about an island of wild creatures. I knew even then that this was a fictional account, and even though there was a scary element to the storyline, it was just a story. And as we all grew older, we were told that such stories are just fantasy and entertainment for young children.
There’s only one problem. That’s wrong: monsters really do exist, and in many varieties. I’m not talking about your typical movie science fiction monsters like Frankenstein of old or Marvel Comics movies that you see on the big screen.
The real “monsters” out there have been witnessed by tens or even hundreds of thousands of people in forests, remote landscapes, beaches, next to houses, and on the edge of rural shopping malls. These appear to be flesh and blood entities that have a solid appearance, sometimes leave huge footprints, break branches, can howl or scream like there’s no tomorrow, or push down huge trees . . .”
